Upcoming or ongoing: 

- a few of my zipper poems will be translated by Franck Bessone and published in the French lit. journal "Transversiere" this June.

- "Zipprez" an opera by me and Nat Stookey (music by Nat, libretto by me) premieres with the Oakland East Bay Symphony Nov. 14.  It will then travel to half a dozen other symphonies in the US and Canada.

- Both of my kids' books, "Colliding with Chris" and "A Child's California", are now available on Amazon.com.

- academic essay treating my novel and, if I do say so myself, convincing suggestion about the origin of Sycorax's name in The Tempest appears in the academic journal Connotations: A Journal of Critical Debate, Vol 15 (Tubingen University).  A longer version appears in Upstart Crow (Clemson University) vol. 26, 2006/2007. 

-  new book "Askew" (a narrative composed of my zipper poetry)  was published by Pince Nez Press in November 2007.  Go to www.pince-nez.com for details.

- New play "Maria Hidalgo-Smith Wears the Highest Heels" (based on my story in the SF Review of Books, 1985!!) will have an equity reading at the Throckmorten Theater in Marin on June 12.  Rebeca Mauleon is composing the music.
